Panthers 2-2 in early district play

The Quinlan Ford Panthers varsity baseball team held a two-win, two-loss record last week after the first four district games of the season, according to Assistant Coach Matt Wingo.

The Panthers took a 1-0 win over the Terrell Tigers March 7 to open district action.

Colton Eaker was on the mound as the winning pitcher for the Panthers.

Dustin Fulbright threw seven innings with 14 Ks, and came out when ballgame was still scoreless.

Quinlan lost 1-16 to the Crandall Pirates on March 14.

Hunter Hayes went two-for-two at the plate.

The Panthers lost 1-7 March 17 to the Ferris Yellowjackets.

Eaker recorded five Ks.

The Panthers were back on top March 21 with a 4-0 win over the Community Braves.

Fulbright threw a one-hit game for the Panthers and had nine strickouts.

Jordan Hymes went two-for-two at the plate. Hunter Hayes was one-for-three with a crucial late game RBI to start a rally.
